The Emperor’s Egg

The Emperor’s Egg
The Emperor's Egg
In this program we’ll learn the amazing saga of Antarctica’s emperor penguins laying and hatching their eggs, and then struggling to raise their young in one of our planet’s most unforgiving climates–“the coldest, windiest, driest place on Earth.” Once the story is finished, we’ll discover what it feels like to carry an egg on our feet and try to master the “Penguin Shuffle”. We’ll let Joan Chapman’s illustrations soak in, and then try out a collage technique.
